Starting in Casablanca, you’ll explore Rabat, Meknes, and Fes, experience the Sahara Desert at Merzouga with a camel trek and nomad camp, traverse the majestic Todra and Dades Valleys, visit the UNESCO World Heritage Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, and discover the vibrant culture of Marrakech. The tour concludes with a relaxing visit to the historic seaside town of Essaouira before returning to Casablanca. Accommodations include a mix of charming riads and comfortable hotels, offering authentic Moroccan hospitality throughout the journey.
Upon your arrival at Mohamed V International Airport in Casablanca, you will be welcomed by your driver and begin your journey. Your first stop is the Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest and most impressive mosques in the world, known for its intricate architecture and oceanfront location. Next, drive to Rabat, the capital city, to explore key landmarks including Hassan Tower, the Mohammed V Mausoleum, and the Oudayas Kasbah, a historic fortress overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Continue your journey to Meknes, an ancient imperial city with beautiful gates, palaces, and medina streets. Finally, arrive in Fes for dinner at your riad, where you can relax and prepare for the days ahead.
Spend the entire day exploring the historic city of Fes, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Begin with the medieval medina, wandering its narrow alleys and discovering architectural gems such as the Attarine Medersa and Bou Anania Medersa. Visit the Nejjarine Fountain, famous for its craftsmanship, and the Moulay Idriss Mausoleum, a spiritual and historical site. Explore the Karaouine Mosque, one of the oldest universities in the world. In the afternoon, head to Fes el Jdid, the new part of the city, which offers a different perspective with royal palaces, gardens, and vibrant streets. Return to your riad in the evening for a restful night.
Departure from Fes at 8 o’clock, travelling via Azrou, where you can see Barbary apes in the forest of the Middle Atlas. Lunch is in Midelt, the apple capital, at the foot of the Ayachi Mountain. We continue over the Tizi-n-Talremt pass and through the Ziz Valley, which is particularly well-known for its palm trees and the length of the oasis. All along the road there are innumerable ksars, small villages of individual houses. From here we reach Er Rachidia and then Erfoud, famous for its date festival and fossils.Then continue to Merzouga ,where you will meet your camel guide to ride into the dunes to the bivouac(camp).Dinner and overnight will be under the nomad tent. The trek will start right into the desert for 1:30min, We will spend the night in an equipped camp in the middle of the Sahara,this is a great opportunity to take lovely pictures of the sunset and sunrise, when you arrive at the camp you walk to the high dunes to see the sunset ,It will be a magical night when the sky is clear of cover and stars sparkle and shine with intensity.There will be a wonderful dinner around a campfire,you will spend the night in nomad tents.
Wake early for a camel ride back to Merzouga, where you will have breakfast and freshen up at the hotel. Depart for Rissani to visit the bustling local souk, one of the largest markets in the region, full of spices, textiles, and traditional crafts. Continue your journey to Tinghir and explore the Todra Gorge, Morocco’s tallest and narrowest canyon, with dramatic red cliffs towering over 200 meters. After lunch at the gorge, drive through the breathtaking Dades Valley, known for its rock formations called “Monkey Fingers” and sandcastle-like kasbahs. Arrive at your hotel overlooking the Dades Valley for an overnight stay in comfort.
After breakfast, departure to Ouarzazate passing through the Dades Valley, the line of kasbahs that give this extremely popular route its nickname as valley of a thousand kasbahs. Just before the town of Skoura, visit Kalaa Mgouna, the rose city, where you can purchase local rosewater.We will continue to Ouarzazate. “the Hollywood of Africa”. On, through the “Road of the thousand Kasbahs”- the fascinating “sand castles”. After 30 kilometers from Ouarzazate We will stop at the famous Kasbah Ait Benhaddou . The kasbah is one of the most intriguing red earth castles lining the ancient road of the Kasbahs, and is a UNESCO world heritage site. Lunch by the Kasbah and continue on our way to Marrakesh through the famous Tizi -in-Tichka pass over the High Atlas Mountains. The range has snow on its peaks most of the year. Begin your day with a guided tour of Marrakech, the Red City of Morocco. The town is renowned for its laid-back atmosphere, beaches, and unique blend of architectural styles. Overnight stay in a local riad, soaking in the relaxed coastal ambiance.
After breakfast, transfer back to Casablanca’s Mohamed V International Airport for your departure flight. Enjoy the scenic drive along Morocco’s Atlantic coast, reflecting on your journey through imperial cities, desert landscapes, and historic medinas, marking the conclusion of your tour.
