5 Days Tour Marrakech To Merzouga

Morning departure towards High Atlas Tizi-N-tichka Pass which stands at 2260m, via Kasbah of Glaoui in Telouet and crossing the old caravan route in Ounila Valley before arriving at Ait Benhaddou, an ancient fortified Kasbah under UNESCO World Heritage protection. We continue the road passing by the Anti Atlas mountains and the Berber villages of Agdez on the edge of Draa Valley with its millions of palm trees, which is considered the largest one in Morocco. Dinner and night in a Hotel in Agdez.

During the afternoon, there will be several opportunities to stop for panoramic views and take photos of the stunning landscapes, including the majestic mountains and traditional mud-brick kasbahs scattered along the route. Guests can also explore parts of the local villages, interact with Berber communities, and learn about their traditions and daily life. The evening in Agdez offers a chance to relax, enjoy local Moroccan cuisine, and experience the peaceful atmosphere of the valley before overnight stay.

After breakfast we drive through the Draa valley until we reach Tansikht, on the way to Alnif, where we’ll have lunch. We will pass the fabulous palm grove of Nkob with its amazing kasbahs. Afternoon we will drive to the deep south of Morocco towards M’harech canyons, where we will have dinner and night in a traditional Riad.

Along the route, we will stop at scenic viewpoints to admire the vast landscapes of the Draa Valley and take photos of the striking kasbahs and lush palm groves. You will also have the chance to interact with local Berber communities and learn about their culture and traditions. The evening in M’harech offers a tranquil atmosphere to unwind, enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner, and experience the warmth and hospitality of a local riad before spending the night surrounded by the unique beauty of southern Morocco.

After breakfast we start our day through the sandy region of the Oued Ghris, passing the desert villages of Ramlia and Ouzina including lunch on the way. Continuing to Taouz to visit some beautiful petroglyphs and a visit of a unique Gnawa village called Khamlia just before reaching to Erg Chebbi where you will spend the night in the middle of the dunes. Dinner and overnight stay in a bivouac with breakfast included.

During the journey, we will have several stops to enjoy the vast desert landscapes, take photographs, and experience the traditional life of the local desert communities. At Khamlia, you will have the opportunity to listen to authentic Gnawa music, interact with villagers, and learn about their rich cultural heritage. Upon arrival at Erg Chebbi, you can enjoy a camel ride across the golden dunes, watch the sunset over the desert, and relax under a sky full of stars, making this night an unforgettable part of your Moroccan adventure.
