First day, we pick you up from your hotel in Marrakech and depart for Telouet, crossing the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi N’tichka Pass at 2,260 m altitude. Upon arrival in Telouet, we will visit the Kasbah of Pasha Glaoui and stop for lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, we drive to Ait Benhaddou along the scenic Ounila Valley, passing traditional Berber villages. At Ait Benhaddou, you will explore the historic kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site, before continuing to Ouarzazate. Dinner and overnight stay will be at a hotel in Ouarzazate, providing comfort after a day full of culture, history, and breathtaking mountain landscapes.
This morning, after breakfast at the hotel, we leave Ouarzazate towards Skoura to visit the Kasbah of Amredil, a stunning kasbah nestled in the palm groves along the “Route of a Thousand Kasbahs.” Later, the journey continues through the Valley of Roses, crossing off-road tracks with the opportunity to visit nomad families living in caves.
We then explore the Dades Gorges, marveling at its dramatic rock formations, before heading to Boumalne du Dades for a break and lunch. In the afternoon, we continue to Tineghir and on to the Todra Gorges to admire the breathtaking canyon views. Dinner and overnight stay will be at a Kasbah hotel, offering comfort and a traditional Moroccan atmosphere after a full day of adventure and scenic exploration.
This morning, you will walk around the Palm Plantations and enjoy the panoramic views of the Todra River. Later, we drive toward Tinjdad for lunch at a local restaurant. Along the way, we pass through several villages such as Touroug, a traditional Berber village, and El-Jarf before reaching Erfoud, where you will visit a local fossil craft workshop.
Afterward, we continue to the captivating dunes of Erg Chebbi, also known as the Merzouga Dunes. Upon arrival, you will prepare for a camel trek lasting about an hour and a half to enjoy the stunning sunset over the dunes. Riding your dromedary, you will continue to the desert camp for an overnight stay in a traditional nomad tent. Dinner will be served at the camp, and you will spend the night surrounded by the serene beauty of the desert.
Wake up early in the morning to enjoy the sunrise from the top of the dunes in the Sahara Desert, followed by breakfast. After these magical moments, you will ride your camel back to the hotel for a refreshing shower.
Next, embark on a 4×4 tour of the dunes, exploring the black volcanic rocks scattered with fossils, visiting a nomad family living in tents, and stopping at Khamlia Village to enjoy the spiritual music of the Gnawa. You will also visit Dayet Srij Lake, which forms in springtime and attracts pink flamingos and other wildlife.
Afterward, we take a break for lunch in Merzouga or Hassi Labied. Following lunch, you will explore the local irrigation canal system and take a walk through the oasis at the foot of the dunes. Return to your hotel to shower and relax. Dinner and overnight stay will be in an auberge, completing a day full of desert adventure and cultural encounters.
Today, you will travel to Rissani to explore the local souks and experience the vibrant atmosphere of the traditional market. Later, you will depart for Errachidia via Erfoud, Aoufous, and the Ziz Valley, with a stop for a panoramic view of the Aoufous oasis in the Tafilalet region.
We continue to Midelt, crossing the Tizi N’Talghamt Pass, where we will have a lunch break. Afterward, you will be driven to Fes, the medieval city, via the cedar forests near Azrou and the Middle Atlas Mountains, with the chance to see the Barbary apes in their natural habitat. There may also be a stop in Ifrane, often called the “Switzerland of Morocco,” before arriving in Fes, where you will be dropped off at your hotel or riad, concluding your journey.
