Itinerary

Day 1Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt – Errachidia – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Merzouga

5 DAYS FES TO MARRAKECH start after breakfast, you leave Fes for Midelt through the mountains and cedar forests of the Middle Atlas, passing by Ifrane, a charming alpine-style town, and Azrou, an important handicraft center specialized in cedar wood. After crossing the Zad Pass (2,178 m / 7,146 ft), you arrive in Midelt for lunch.

In the afternoon, you will drive to Erfoud via Errachidia and the Ziz Valley, dotted with palm trees and offering beautiful panoramic views. You then continue to the impressive sand dunes of Erg Chebbi for your desert experience. Dinner and overnight stay will be in a hotel in Merzouga.

Day 2Merzouga 4×4 Tour – Erg Chebbi – Camel Trekking And Night In Desert Camp Sahara

After breakfast, you will make a full tour around the dunes, passing by the two oases of Merzouga, the nomadic areas, and the village of Khamlia, known for its Gnawa music. You will also visit the mines of Mifiss, cross the desert plateaus, and meet Berber nomads living in the desert, as well as the oasis of Tissardmine.

Return to the hotel around 3:00 PM to prepare for your desert caravan. You will then ride camels across the dunes to enjoy the breathtaking sunset before arriving at your camp. Spend the night in traditional Berber tents in the heart of the dunes, with dinner and overnight stay in a bivouac under the stars.

Day 3Merzouga – Rissani – Erfoud – Touroug – Tinjdad – Tinghir – Toudra Gorges – Boumalne – Dades Valley – Dades Gorges

Early in the morning, you will wake up to admire the beautiful sunrise over the dunes, then return by camels to the hotel. After breakfast, departure to Rissani and Erfoud to visit a fossil marble workshop before continuing towards the palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad.

Arrival at the Todra Gorges where you will have lunch on site and enjoy the impressive canyon views. In the afternoon, you will drive to the Dades Gorges via Boumalne and the Dades Valley. Dinner and overnight stay will be in a hotel, offering comfort after a day rich in landscapes and discoveries.

Day 4Dades Gorges – Dades Valley – Roses Valley – Kelaa M’Gouna – Skoura – Ouarzazate

After breakfast, return through the Dades Valley until reaching the Kasbah of Ait Youl. From here, take the track road crossing the Rose Valley with its kasbahs and ksours, offering beautiful landscapes along the way before arriving at Kelaa Mgouna. Lunch will be taken on the way.

In the afternoon, departure to the palm groves of Skoura with a visit to the Kasbah of Amredhyle, one of the most well-preserved kasbahs in the region. Continuation to Ouarzazate. Dinner and overnight stay in a hotel.

Day 5Ouarzazate – Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech

After breakfast, the entire day is devoted to the visit of Ouarzazate: the Kasbah of Taourirt, Tifoultout, and the Cinema Studio. You will discover the history of these remarkable sites and their role in Moroccan culture and film production.

Then, you will drive to the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou (under UNESCO protection) for a visit of the kasbah and the old village, exploring its traditional architecture and historic pathways. In the afternoon, departure to Marrakech via the Tizi-n-Tichka Pass. Arrival in Marrakech around 5:30 pm, marking the end of your journey.
